SOURCEDANCE is sponsoring the Guam 2006 HafaTEL Hip Hop Dance Championships and Battle of the Bands for all ages.

The competition will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at Jimmy Dee's Beach in Tamuning.

Cash and Prizes will be awarded to the top three Hip Hop Dance Groups, top three Hip Hop Dance Soloists and top three Bands. This competition will be a learning experience for all who participate as the dancers will be judged and critiqued by the star of the Number 1 Box Office Movie, "You Got Served," Chris Michael Jones.

Registration Forms can be picked up and dropped off at the SKIP Entertainment Company dance studio at the Casa de Flores Building in Agana Heights from 4:00pm - 8:00pm Monday through Friday and from 9:00am - 2:00pm on Saturday through Saturday, April 8, 2006. In addition, Registration Forms plus copies of the rules and regs are available at all HafaTEL locations.

You may also obtain the registration forms & rules directly from the SOURCEDANCE website. Just click on "Request Registration Forms by email" and select the forms you wish to request for. Simply input your valid email address and submit. The system will process your request and send you the requested forms in "pdf" format (you will need acrobat reader to view and print them). Print the forms, complete them and turn them in, in accordance with the rules. (or) You can:

The competition will be open to the public and tickets can be purchased at the door on Sunday, April 9. Doors will open to the public at 5:30pm.

In addition, Chris will offering Hip Hop & Open Street Dancing Workshops on Tuesday, April 11, at the Micronesian Room, Guam Hilton Resort & Spa:

4:00 - 5:30 Beginner Hip Hop
5:30 - 7:00 Intermediate/Advanced Hip Hop
7:30 - 9:00 Open Street Dancing
